First introduced in 1861, Solfatare has been delighting gardeners for more than 150 years! A gem for historic garden recreation.
American Peony Society technically considers Solfatare a white. However, Solfatare opens with soft pink guard petals and a yellow center. Then, as the flower matures, both become a soft white.
Solfatare’s double, loosely-petaled blooms are some of the most fragrant peonies in our garden, making it a garden must-have.
Like many heirloom peonies, Solfatare’s blooms require support.
All bare-root peonies ship Sept-Oct.
