Because this year’s Bloom Season coincides with Dolgeville’s Violet Festival, we will not be Hosting open days The weekend of 6/10.

However, if you’d like to visit the farm, you may schedule a walk through.

To schedule, complete the below form. In the “Message’ box please list 3 potential days you could visit. We’ll get back to you within 48 hours to confirm a date and time.

A few things to know as you schedule your visit.

1) We estimate Peak Bloom will run from Jun 9-20. We advise you choose dates within that range.

2) Cut peony stems may be available for purchase during your walk-through. If you’re interested in buying stems, please bring a container you can use to carry the stems home.

3) All visits will be scheduled between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

4) We won’t be able to give each of you a guided tour during your walk through. But we’ll be sure to greet you and show you the best fields to tour that day etc.

If the fields look like they will still be beautiful on Saturday, 6/18, we will likely host an Open Day. This will be announced both here and on our social media.

Know Before you Visit

Dress for a Farm

Please wear sturdy, preferably waterproof shoes.

This is a working farm so you should expect some mud. Also, since we’re on the edge of the Adriondacks, our fields are not level.

Don’t forget the sunhat and/or sunscreen

Our fields are not shaded. Be sure to protect yourself from the sun.

Walkways

In our main viewing area, we have landscape fabric pathways that allow you to walk through the field itself. Please walk only on these paths.

However, some of our fields are too densely planted to allow for foot traffic. For these fields, you are invited to tour the perimeter only.

Purchases

Since we are still loading our 2023 catalog, on-farm purchases are not possible during your visit.

However, this is a great chance for you to choose the varieties you would like to select once the catalog is loaded.

Dogs

Unfortunately, we can’t allow dogs on the farm.

We have a working dog who helps protect us and our livestock from predators. She might perceive your dog as a threat so please protect your dog and keep them at home.

How To Find Our Farm

If GPS fails you, just head east on State Route 29A from Salisbury Center. Our farm is the third property on the left after the Post Office.

Unfortunately, a car knocked down our sign but you will know it’s us when you see hundreds of peonies!

The farm buildings are dark blue with white trim and yellow doors. You can’t miss us.
